Ecosystems are the highest organizational level of the Gardens platform. To join a Community, members stake the Ecosystem token set by the community.

The Ecosystem token then serves as the governance token for all Communities in the Ecosystem.

What to know about ecosystems

• To join a Community, members stake the Ecosystem token.
• The registration stake amount needed to join a Community is set by each Community.
• A member’s governance weight in the Community’s Pools is calculated from their Ecosystem token stake.
• Members can stake more Ecosystem tokens in a community to get more governance weight.
• Registration stake can be returned at any time by leaving a Community.
