Project Abstract (300 words max)

Gardens is a community governance platform using best practices in bottom-up governance of shared resources.

Our goal is to hyperscale entire ecosystems by improving the ROI for expenditures on public goods by orders of magnitude. We do this by making it possible to give decision-making power to people directly connected with a resource allocation issue, while maintaining security & decentralization.

Our modular coordination mechanism gives organizations streamlined access to spending strategies capable of harnessing collective intelligence - and can be implemented in as many instances as the community needs.

Our emphasis is on a community experience that’s healthy, fun, intuitive, secure, and open.

The keystone of Gardens v2 infrastructure is the Community Covenant, which serves to:

1. encode a community’s values / mission in an on-chain social contract
2. link that Covenant to the various smart contracts that make up the community’s treasuries and funding strategies.
3. allow people to signal support for the community by staking tokens in the Covenant.
