Description*

Gardens is a cutting-edge ecosystem grants funding mechanism that combines an on-chain social contract (the “Covenant”) to provide communities with modular, scalable funding solutions. These solutions can be deployed across multiple instances, empowering diverse ecosystems to access and implement grant funding tailored to their unique needs.

The first funding application built on Gardens v2 is an enhanced Conviction Voting strategy, which builds upon a mechanism rigorously tested and refined over the past three years. Originally conceived by BlockScience in 2019, Conviction Voting serves as a continuous signaling tool, enabling groups to make decisions by leveraging the wisdom of the crowds.

Planned Milestones*

The next planned milestone in our roadmap is the Signaling Pools Snapshots (i.e. Select dates in a signaling pool where conviction values are snapshot. These would let pools be set up with pre-set deadlines, useful for seasonal funding). Related to the Signaling Pool Snapshots, we have the following milestones:

• Add a new settings for singnaling pools to control snpshots (enable/disable snapshot, interval)
• Collect conviction for each proposal on each snapshots
• Display the snapshoted conviction in the signaling pools page
• Implement a date selection feature (calendar component?)
• Add to the pool form setting to designate a signaling pool as a snapshot pool
• Display the conviction value at the time of the snapshot in pool page.
